Captain Boxer Shorts is on his own on the Good Ship Mithril. He is writing his own adventure today:
Tuesday
Woodwork and painting today. The table and storage cupboard are all in bits but need sanding
smooth.
A coat of white paint and left to dry, then a second coat.
Perhaps I need some help.
Or some more wood.
In the evening I go out to tea with Phil on his boat in the boatyard.
In the dinghy it's a long trip up the river to the dock.
I go up the wobbly ladder to the top of the dock and then another wobbly ladder to get to the top of of Phil's boat.
After a nice meal and a few drinks of refreshment it was time to go back to the Good Ship Mithril.
Down the wobbly ladder to get off Phils boat, then a walk past the boatyard fence with 2 large and evil dogs just wanting to bite my legs off.
Happily they were the other side of the fence.
Down the dock to the wobbly ladder, help, there is NO ladder, its gone!
It was a long way down to the water.
What shall I do?
Take off all my clothes and swim from the slipway to the dinghy?
No, the water is too cold and the water is full of grunge and stuff.
So I go for help past the evil dogs.
No NO wrong picture!
The dogs were like this.
And I spy the ladder in the other boat compound, but is the gate locked?
No, it's open, so I sneak in, grab the ladder and stagger to the dock.
Down into the the dingy and off.
But how to return the ladder?
By post?

I park the dingy on the slipway, get the ladder off the dock, go back past the evil dogs, sneak into the
compound and return the ladder.
Then I have to go back again past the evil dogs.
By now they are very very cross and are throwing themselves at the fence, trying to get and eat me.
No, wrong picture again!!!
Back to the dingy and off. By now its very late and dark so I use my flashing light so other boats can see me.
So eventually captain boxer shorts gets back to the big boat at anchor and goes to bed.
What will happen on Wednesday?
I can't wait to find out!
